(As shown<br \/>\nbelow)<br \/>The data clearly shows that the activities of the extracts obtained by hot water extraction, ethanol extraction, and supercritical (CO<sub>2<\/sub>) extraction are different and that the extract from the supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction has the highest activity and is suitable for cosmetics.<\/p>\n<p>The example indicated below shows that when the tyrosinase inhibitory activity<br \/>\nwas selected and tested, the extract from supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction had the highest<br \/>\ntyrosinase inhibitory activity, but in some other tests which examined other<br \/>\nphysiological activities, water extraction was shown to be effective.<\/p>\n<p>We are conducting research to find out the best extraction methods applicable to various<br \/>\nproducts, so as to be able to say, \u201cXX extract can be used for cosmetics, XX extract for<br \/>\ndrinks, and XX extract for food\u2026\u201d<br \/>In addition, by changing the extraction method, we can characterize the products not<br \/>\nonly from the aspect of active ingredients, but also from the aspects of flavor and color.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txtCenter mBtm30\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/en_extraction_img_03.jpg\" width=\"340\" height=\"388\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"txtCenter mBtm30\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/en_c01_img02.png\" width=\"740\" height=\"222\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Three extraction techniques that bring out the features of materials<\/h2>\n<div class=\"h2Box\">\n<p class=\"mBtm20\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/c02_ph01.jpg\" width=\"731\" height=\"465\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<h3>Supercritical extraction (supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub>) plant device<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mBtm30\">This is a plant that performs extraction using supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub>.The supercritical<br \/>\nextraction (CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction) plant can pressurize up to 50MPa and can primarily extract<br \/>\nhydrophobic ingredients at a highly concentrated level.Supercritical extraction (CO<sub>2<\/sub><br \/>\nextraction) is effective in extracting ingredients sensitive to heat or those that need to<br \/>\nbe prevented from oxidizing. This can be done without the use of any residual solvents.<br \/>\nAs we have a test machine that is 1\/1000 the size of the actual production machine, we<br \/>\ncan experimentally perform supercritical extraction (CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction) using about 100g<br \/>\nof raw material before manufacturing the product.<br \/>\nIf you are interested in creating a sample using this test machine before manufacturing<br \/>\nyour product, please contact us.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"03\">What is supercritical CO<sup>2<\/sup> extraction?<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mBtm10\">It is an extraction process that uses a CO<sub>2<\/sub> fluid that is beyond the limit (critical point) of temperature and pressure in which gas and liquid can coexist, and has a gas property (diffusion property) of being able to enter anywhere and also a liquid property (solubility) that dissolves ingredients.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txtCenter mBtm40\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/en_extract_img07.jpg\" width=\"696\" height=\"516\" alt=\"Range of techniques using supercritical fluid: In the supercritical area of carbon dioxide, ingredients that are easily oxidized or are weak to high temperatures such as hot water can be extracted, so there are more extractable ranges with increased added value of the raw material obtained.\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"01\">\u3010Characteristics of supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub> extraction\u3011<\/h3>\n<p>Supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub> has a characteristic of dissolving terpenoids, low-polarity ingredients,<br \/>\nand oils and fats which makes it suitable for extracting these ingredients.<br \/>\nHydrophilic ingredients that dissolve into water (boiled water) are not suitable to be extracted, but the addition of a small amount of ethanol or water in supercritical CO<sub>2<\/sub><br \/>\nincreases the dissolution levels of flavonoids, alkaloids, and glycoside, resulting in it<br \/>\nbeing possible to obtain the extracts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"txtCenter mTop10 mBtm30\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/en_extract_img08.png\" width=\"696\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"clearfix\">\n<div class=\"fLeft\" style=\"width:340px;\">\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ominedo.co.jp\/mg\/wp-content\/themes\/ominedo\/images\/c02_ph02.jpg\" width=\"340\" alt=\"\" class=\"mBtm10\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Alcohol extraction plant<\/h4>\n<p>This is a plant that performs extraction using water-containing ethanol. More lipophilic<br \/>\ningredients are extracted with this extraction method compared to extraction with<br \/>\nwater only.
